Your tabs, your rules.
Few runs one workflow: a chain of steps that decides when a tab moves to Bin, sleeps or closes. These are ready-made ones for different ways of working. Each is a small file you import into Few, and every step can be changed afterwards.
Everyday cleanup
How long a tab waits, and whether Few ever closes it.
Default cleanup
What Few does out of the box.
Unused for 3 hours → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Close.
Gentle cleanup
For people who like to keep things around.
Unused for a day → Move to Bin → In Bin for 2 weeks → Close.
Aggressive cleanup
For people who open a lot of tabs.
Unused for an hour → Move to Bin → In Bin for 2 days → Close.
Never close anything
Tidy, but nothing is ever closed for you. Bin keeps everything until you close it yourself.
Unused for 3 hours → Move to Bin. That’s all.
Just remind me
Few moves nothing. You get a notification for each tab you haven’t opened in three days.
Unused for 3 days → Notify.
Memory
Free memory without moving anything.
Focus
Clear the desk on a schedule, or keep distractions light.
End-of-day tidy
Nothing moves during the day. At 6pm on weekdays, everything you aren’t looking at goes to Bin (if Chrome is open then).
Weekdays at 18:00 → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Close.
Friday reset
Start every week clean, without losing anything: Friday evening, open tabs are bookmarked and moved to Bin.
Fridays at 17:00 → Bookmark → Move to Bin → In Bin for 7 days → Close.
Social timeout
Social and video sites are unloaded after 20 minutes away; everything else follows the default cleanup.
Unused for 20 minutes → on social or video sites, Sleep → then, unused for 3 hours → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Close.
Research & reading
For tabs you mean to come back to.
Long-haul research
Docs, papers and wiki pages get a week before Bin; everything else, 3 hours.
Unused for 3 hours → docs, papers and wikis wait until unused for 7 days, the rest go now → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Close.
Save before closing
Nothing is ever really lost: a tab is bookmarked to your WithFew folder just before Few closes it.
Unused for 3 hours → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Bookmark → Close.
Duplicates & noise
The tabs nobody needs twice.
Duplicate killer
Closes a tab the moment the same page is already open, and does nothing else.
Duplicate → Notify → Close.
Search sweeper
Search results go to Bin after 30 minutes; everything else follows the default cleanup.
Unused for 30 minutes → search results go now, the rest wait until unused for 3 hours → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Close.
By kind of site
Rules on what kind of site a tab is — which Few works out on your device.
Shopping pages
Product pages are bookmarked, so you can find them again, then moved to Bin after an hour; everything else follows the default cleanup.
Unused for an hour → on shopping sites, Bookmark; the rest wait until unused for 3 hours → Move to Bin → In Bin for 5 days → Close.
Keep reference material
Docs, code and research get a day before Bin and two weeks in it; everything else follows the default cleanup.
